With over 14 years practising in general commercial litigation, Stephen established sdw legal in 2016.

Stephen approaches each matter with a comprehensive understanding of the law and a focus on achieving commercial objectives as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.

Experience

Stephen’s previous experience includes work as research assistant to Justice Einstein in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, as a solicitor at a major national law firm and as a partner at two smaller commercial law firms. This breadth of experience has given Stephen exposure to a full spectrum of commercial litigation – from large, multi-party litigation to small, debt recovery matters (and everything in between) – and a real appreciation of the cost of litigation to companies and individuals alike and how critical it is that a legal adviser provides value to their client.

Some of Stephen’s work includes:

  • Acting for manufacturers in defended claims for breach of contract and misleading or deceptive conduct;
  • Acting for employers in relation to claims regarding confidential information and the enforcement of restraints of trade;
  • Acting for commercial property owners in the enforcement of their rights against tenants; and
